Midwest Motorfest is proud to support Charlie 22 Outdoors, a nonprofit organization based in Webb City, Missouri, dedicated to serving our nation's veterans and their families through outdoor experiences that bring hope, healing, and purpose.
About Charlie 22 Outdoors
In the United States, it's estimated that 22 veterans lose their lives to suicide every day. Charlie 22 Outdoors believes that even one is too many. Their mission is to provide outdoor adventures—such as hunting, fishing, and fellowship events—to veterans and their families, free of charge, as a way to show them that they are not alone and that there is meaning in God’s grace.
These experiences aim to combat PTSD, restore faith, and build lifelong connections. Charlie 22 Outdoors was founded with a simple but powerful purpose:
to serve those who have already served.
The name "Charlie 22" honors this mission and pays tribute to the military career of SFC Jess Webster Hettinger III, who served as a drill instructor in
Charlie Company – 2nd Battalion – 2nd Brigade (Charlie 22). His legacy and dedication live on through the lives this organization touches.

Midwest Motorfest is happening the same weekend as one of Southeast Kansas’ most exciting events—the Columbus Day Festival and Hot Air Balloon Regatta! We’re thrilled to be part of the energy this weekend brings to our community.

To make it easy for everyone to enjoy both events, we’ll have golf cart shuttles available to transport attendees between the car show at the American Legion Fairgrounds and the festival happenings downtown.
About the Hot Air Balloon Regatta
The Columbus Day Festival’s Hot Air Balloon Regatta is one of the fastest-growing attractions in Southeast Kansas, featuring 20 hot air balloons from all over the region.
Friday night kicks off with a stunning balloon glow, where glowing colors light up the night sky in a spectacular display. Saturday and Sunday feature thrilling Hare & Hound balloon races, with multiple launches throughout the weekend (weather permitting).
Each balloon and pilot is proudly sponsored by members of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce and local businesses, making this a true hometown tradition.

What time does the car show start and end?
The event will run from 9:00 AA to 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 11, 2025. Vendor setup begins earlier—details will be emailed to all approved vendors.
Is there an entry fee for the public?
Nope! Admission is completely FREE for the public to attend and enjoy the show.
How much does it cost to enter a vehicle?
Vehicle registration is $40 and includes a space in the show and eligibility for awards.
How do I become a vendor?
Vendor booths are $40 for a 10x10 space. This is a great opportunity for businesses that offer tools, parts, off-road gear, accessories, or auto-related services.
What are the sponsorship options?
We have three sponsorship tiers available ranging from $250 to $1,000. Each includes perks like banner placement, website recognition, a booth, and more.
Where does the money go?
All profits from the event go directly to support Charlie 22 Outdoors and Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Will there be food?
Yes! We’ll have food trucks and concessions available throughout the day.
Do I need to bring my own seating or shade?
Yes, feel free to bring your own lawn chairs or pop-up tents to stay comfortable while enjoying the show.
What if it rains?
This is a rain or shine event. If severe weather is forecasted, we will post updates on our Facebook page and website.
Can I take photos?
